We’ve just rolled out a couple of updates to Weekly Dinner Recipes that make saving, reviewing, and managing your recipes even easier, especially when it comes to ingredients. These updates are all about giving you more control and flexibility while still keeping things simple.

Here’s What’s New
You Can Now View and Edit Ingredients Directly on Recipe Pages
Every recipe page now includes a dedicated Ingredients section.
That means you can:
View the ingredients associated with a recipe at a glance.
See what was extracted automatically by our AI.
Make changes when something doesn’t look quite right.
If an ingredient name needs tweaking, an amount is off, or a unit doesn’t match how you cook, you can now edit it directly. You can:
Rename ingredients.
Update quantities.
Adjust units.
Add extra ingredients that weren’t picked up automatically.
This gives you full control over your recipes without having to work around errors or missing details.
New: Add Ingredients from a Photo 📸
This one’s a big one! You can now take a photo of a recipe, upload it, and let our AI extract the ingredients for you.
This is especially useful for:
Handwritten recipes.
Cookbook pages.
Printed recipes.
Screenshots or photos you’ve saved.
Once uploaded:
The image is attached to the recipe.
The ingredients are extracted automatically.
Everything appears directly on the recipe page.
You can then review, edit, or adjust those ingredients just like any other recipe.
Designed for Both Desktop and Mobile
Whether you’re planning on your laptop or cooking with your phone nearby, the updated ingredient view works smoothly on both desktop and mobile. You can review and update ingredients wherever you are—at home, at the store, or mid-cook.
Why We Built This
A lot of recipes don’t start as clean links on the internet. They come from books, family notes, photos, or screenshots. We wanted Weekly Dinner Recipes to handle those just as easily.
These updates are about reducing friction:
Fewer manual steps.
More flexibility.
Better ingredients you can actually trust.
As always, the goal is to make planning dinners feel lighter and more practical. If you give these new features a try and have feedback—good, bad, or confusing—we’d love to hear it.
Every update is shaped by how people actually use the app.
